The Polycom SoundStation 2W Conference Phone (Expandable) offers the same wireless flexibility as the SoundStation 2W (Non-Expandable) but adds extendable microphones for improved voice range and clarity.
Sound quality you can count on
The Sound Station 2 is Polycom’s most popular model – and with good reason. With 360 degree microphone coverage, you and your colleagues can be heard clearly from up to 3.5 metres away, giving you room to express yourself. Dynamic Noise Reduction filters out background noise for clearer calls, while additional systems resist interference from mobile phones and other wireless devices. Plus full duplex technology provides natural, simultaneous two-way conversation without the clipping or drop-outs that are common in traditional speakerphones You can even connect to a mobile phone if no analogue phone line is present, letting you make calls from almost anywhere.
Conference without wires
Thanks to its innovative wireless technology, the Polycom SoundStation 2W can be used in almost any part of your office. Simply plug in the base station to an analogue phone line, then roam with the speaker unit up to 50 metres away. No phone lines, data lines or even power lines are needed. This also means if you have multiple board rooms, you only need buy the one conference room since you can move it to wherever your meeting is taking place. And if you have a mobile phone, you can even plug the base station into this, letting you conference anywhere your mobile gets a signal. Secure encryption ensures total security, while a lithium ion rechargeable battery delivers up to 24 hours of talk time and 160 hours on standby.
Greater voice range
The Polycom SoundStation2W (Expandable) features ports for optional extended microphones, which plug directly into the unit. These mics can then be used to extend the unit’s range beyond its inbuilt 3.5 metres – perfect for longer boardroom tables where attendees tend to be spaced further away from the conference phone.
