What makes using the Polycom Sound Station 2 so much more productive than using a regular phone’s speaker function? Simple. Unlike a normal desk phone, the SoundStation 2 has been designed from the ground up to be a dedicated conference phone. However, with traditional telephone features like redial, mute, transfer and hold, you have a conference phone that’s also familiar to use. Plus the SoundStation2’s very clever application port lets you connect to mobile phones if no analogue line is present, as well as connecting to a PC to make internet calls for free!
Please note that this version of the SoundStation 2 does not have a display or extendable microphones. While the microphones are really only useful in much larger boardrooms, the display is a very useful feature to let you dial and conference easier (essentially because you can see what you are doing). If your budget can stretch the few extra dollars, we recommend you opt for the Polycom SoundStation 2 Conference Phone (Non-Expandable, With Display).
